We began filming the first three of our new DVD series, Dinosaur George’s Ultimate Paleo. Each of these DVD’s highlights one particular dinosaur, or prehistoric creature, and covers every detail from head to tail.
These shows explain the skeletal design, diet, location, predators/prey, and other fascinating details of each featured animal. Along with being ideal for any dino-lover in the family, these shows are perfect for the classroom.
We filmed our first DVD, Ultimate Triceratops, at the Witte Museum in San Antonio TX. I have always had a very good relationship with the Witte and was very happy that we could film there. Their Triceratops has a lot of history behind it, and I’m sure you will find this DVD quite fascinating.
The second DVD, Ultimate T-rex, was filmed at the Houston Museum of Sciences satellite location in the Woodlands, TX. Although the Houston Museum of Science is one of the largest and most impressive museums in Texas, their Woodlands location is really impressive and FILLED with full skeletons of various prehistoric beasts.
To create our third DVD, Ultimate Allosaurus, we traveled the Clute TX where we filmed in the Brazosport Museum of Science. My very good friend, Brian Miles, is the curator of Paleontology there and he very graciously let us come in to shoot. (You will meet Brian Miles during an interview in this DVD.) The folks at the Brazosport Museum have been long time friends and I was so happy that we were able to utilize their museum in this show.
There is a lot of work that goes into the making of a show. We have travel arrangements for the crew, coordination with the museums, editing, producing, directing and much more. Fortunately for me my manager, Kim Bunch, handled all of that stuff. All I have to do is show up and act like I know what I am talking about!!!! Oh yes….life is good.
Sincerely,
Dinosaur George
